Noted below is an unsolicited testimonial regarding the property:
Hi Jim,
Please feel free to share these thoughts with other APR agents and potential buyers as you see appropriate. We happen to be personal friends with a Holliday family member and we have had the privilege of staying at the Lake House a couple of times in the past several years.
Sometimes there is just no way to describe in words or pictures the peace that a place can have. Jim and Belinda have done such a warm and sensitive development of this property that it seems to have been there forever. The “soul” of this site is so welcoming, forgiving and nurturing that it is hard to imagine a more restful, quiet yet inspiring location. Everything there works together so well, in harmony with all the parts and with the natural beauty that surrounds it all.
The home is absolutely gracious, perfect for entertaining a large group of friends, while offering pockets of respite and privacy from the common areas. On the other hand, modern conveniences are not lacking in any way. The open kitchen offers great natural light at any time of day, the formal dining room and outdoor terraces offer wonderful alternatives at mealtime and the living room is big enough to host projection–TV video nights! Huge, inviting fireplaces (indoor and out) and lots of room for “sleepover guests” in the upstairs bedrooms and around the gallery make this the perfect place for a “real” visit with friends or family.
The pond and the rest of the grounds feel completely private yet still accessible from the house. They would be perfect for someone with horses or other livestock. Hiking opportunities abound, and of course Yosemite Valley is close enough for a day trip. The pond itself is a blast… my son caught his first bass there (almost 2 lbs.!) and of course the tow rope jump isn’t something you see in a typical Tahoe “getaway.”
If anyone has a client who really wants a truly magical property that will attract friends and family to visit for “quality time” with a few wholesome distractions, we can heartily endorse the Lake House as a candidate.
All the best,
Rich Nemeth
